Manuela Franjou: Where history and photography intertwine

I'm a passionate photographer and interior designer. My four free-spirited and energetic children have been my greatest inspiration to seek a simple lifestyle connected to nature.

My roots, a melting pot of cultures, have shaped my artistic vision. Daughter of a Frenchman and a Chilean woman of Peruvian descent, I grew up among the vineyards of Burgundy and the vibrant energy of Santiago. This cultural diversity has taught me to appreciate beauty in all its forms and to find stories in the most unexpected corners. In every photograph I take, I seek to capture the soul of what I portray. I am interested in discovering what makes each person or place unique and special. My goal is for my images to be more than just portraits: I want them to be windows into worlds filled with emotion and meaning. With my documentary approach, I tell authentic stories that range from family intimacy to the sophistication of fashion. Whether in a studio or in the midst of nature, my style is characterized by a harmony between minimalism and an explosion of colors, creating compositions that invite contemplation and connection. My work is a tribute to my ancestors, who passed on to me the value of freedom and authenticity. Through my lens, I want to leave a legacy for my children, a testament to the ephemeral beauty and the importance of memories.

Family Photography

Family is the center and the greatest creation I've had: my children. In family, I found the freedom, order, and strength to continue creating and building. My approach to family photography is documentary, capturing those authentic moments and emotions that reflect the love, unity, and essence of each family. From couples, pregnancy, childbirth, newborns, siblings, ceremonies... I firmly believe that each image should tell a story of love and connection that lasts over time.

Gastronomic Photography

Through the lens of my camera, I transform food into art. Each dish is a story waiting to be told, and it's my mission to capture the passion, creativity, and culture behind every bite. My photographs pay homage to generations past, who faced hunger and scarcity, and inspire gratitude for the abundance we enjoy today.
